I lived in Tahoe City for a few years - still yearn for it often. Wish I'd never left!! Worked for the owners of The Ironworks Gym - THE best view from a gym anywhere in the world. Stop by for a workout sometime and say Hi to Pam and John from me. You'll find it just down from the Post Office and MacDonalds. Everyone should visit Tahoe at least once in a lifetime - you'll never want to leave and will always wish you never did!

I finally got to see Lake Tahoe first hand in Nov 98 on a 3 week tour of California/Nevada. It was snowing when we arrived, it was absolutely beautiful, and we had dinner on the Tahoe Queen paddle steamer. Watch out because I shall be back one day!!!

I finally went to Lake Tahoe during a business conference. Spent a day and a half there in N Lake Tahoe. It was everything I thought it would be and more. I was thoroughly enchanted and seduced by the beauty of the area. I hated to leave but will return next year with wife and kids in tow. Look for us, we'll be on bikes with wide grins all around. Nothing like this anywhere back east.

I vacationed in South Lake Tahoe in Sept. 97 with my boyfriend. Had a great time! Even went swimming - Brrr... Got some awesome pictures - postcard material! Lived There for 8 1/2 years and moved back to Texas in 1995. Sure miss the scenary there. I loved to drive around the lake and just visit all the interesting sites there. I am looking forward to returning for vacation soon.

We were at North Shore for our son's wedding on New Years Eve this year. Jason & Michelle Bowers will more than likely be signing in also. The week was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. The wedding took place in Kings Beach at the Luthern Church and had the reception at the Kings Beach Meeting Center. Garwood's Restaurant was the site of the wedding rehearsal dinner. Snowboarding at North Star was awsome!!! Major fun places to party: Garwood's Restaurant, Eagels Nest Restaurant by Hyatt Hotel and great place to stay for a week - check out Kingswood Village Condos--- We all' from Dallas can't wait to go back----

I took a friend of mine that I met online to Tahoe this Summer. He was just thrilled. Said that he had no idea that we had such a beautiful place in California. We actually went to the beach about 100 yards from where this Cam picture is taken. Maybe when I find out where the pictures we took while at this beach are posted online, I will come back and share the site with you. I am Californian, born and breed. As a youngster we went to King's Beach every summer and I never appreciated it. I wanted to go camping in Yosemite or to Disneyland. Anyway, the Lake has not changed one bit (thank God the drought is over). It is the same absolutly gorgeous place in the whole world.

Some of the most fond memories that I have is when I used to stay at Lake Tahoe as a child. Whenever there is a scene of the Sierra's on TV, the net, or in a book I just melt and take myself there in my mind. I try to get there at least once a year and enjoy what this Lake has too offer. I stayed in Incline Village, Nevada two years ago and my friends and I toured 3/4 of the lake and I fell in love. It is the most beautiful place I have ever been to. It's the closest thing to Heaven in my opinion. I want to win the lotto in Texas so that I can buy a home in Lake Tahoe. I plan to go back this year. When I saw the lake it was like coming home. It was hard to leave. The people in North and South Lake Tahoe were great. I grew up watching Bonanza and when I went to the Ponderosa Ranch in Incline Village, Nevada. I was a child again. It was spectacular.I thank God for Lake Tahoe and for allowing me to see it with my own eyes.

Whatever time of year you chose to visit Tahoe is the BEST. Fall is great for hiking, mt biking, and watching the colors change. Winter offers some of the best skiing in the world (steeps, chutes, cliffs, corduroy, ski school programs, views, ...). Spring is great with skiing in the morning hours, lunch on the decks of the ski areas in a T shirt then water sports such as water skiing or white water kayaking in the afternoon. Summer is awesome with skiing sometimes into July, water activities, hiking, biking, kayaking, rollerblading,... Be careful, it is contagious, you may get it in your blood and never leave. (Please pack out everything you pack in. Let's keep it beautiful! Thanks.)
